Privacy Policy

Plain version: we use what you tell us to quote your yard and get sod to it. We do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

What we collect

Your name and phone number, which are the only required fields. If you give them: your email, service address, city, the grass you want, square footage, timing, and whatever you type in the notes box. If you use the measuring tool, the address you search and the shape you draw on the map. If you chat with Rolly, the messages you send it and the page you sent them from.

Collected automatically with every quote request: your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string, the page you submitted from, the page you first landed on, the site that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. Standard web analytics also records pages viewed, approximate city, and device type.

Who processes it

We are a small business and we use ordinary vendors to run the site. Each one receives only what it needs to do its job.

• Cloudflare hosts the site and stores quote requests in our database.
• Resend emails your quote request to our team, and Telnyx texts it to us. Both receive the contents of your request.
• Cloudflare Workers AI and, when that is unavailable, OpenRouter, run Rolly. They receive the messages you send Rolly.
• Google Analytics records site traffic, and Google Maps geocodes the address you search in the measuring tool.

We do not sell your information, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

How long we keep it

Quote requests stay in our system for 24 months so we can service a warranty claim or pick up a job you paused, then we delete them. Analytics data expires on Google’s standard retention schedule. Rolly conversations are not stored on our side beyond the quote request they produce.

Your rights

Texas residents can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@sodfriend.com or call (817) 765-1655 and say what you want done. There is no form. We will handle it within 45 days, which is what state law allows us, though it usually takes a day.

To delete everything we hold about you, email hello@sodfriend.com with the phone number you gave us and ask us to delete your record.

Children

This site sells sod to homeowners and builders. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
